Goodbye old home

After a delay of 3 days we are finally on the road headed to TX. Anything that could go wrong did go wrong.  But aside from that, we will miss it.  Having lived here for over 4 years, this house holds many memories for us.  It is the first house we owned.  And we have put a lot of work into it.  Here are just a few of the many changes we have made over the years.

In the front yard we trimmed a massive bush back down to normal size, and maintained it.  We also thinned out the plum trees, and trimmed them as well.

In the back yard we trimmed overgrown trees, bushes, and weeds.  Sadly we don't have a before picture of one corner that was so thickly overgrown that you couldn't get within 6 feet, or more, of the fence.  The garage was torn down and a cement parking pad put in it's place.  We put a small shed in one corner.  The clothes line poles were taken out.  And we defined the garden area along with adding 2 more gardening spaces including a now well established strawberry patch.

The upstairs kitchen was completely redone.  See the Tandy adventures post and the fun kitchen update post.  I don't have a before photo of the built in spice rack Matt made from an old drop down ironing board.  It basically looked like a cabinet built into the wall.
