Tamales

One of Matt's Christmas presents was a promise of homemade tamales.


They were kind of fun to make.  I just wish they didn't take such a long time to make.


They did turn out very good, just a bit too spicy for me.

    Mmmm, tamales! I was going to make those for Christmas, but ran out of time.

    Would you believe I went all the way back to San Antonio and did not eat a single tamale? In fact, I did not get to eat ANY Mexican food. Tragic. I did have the best steak I have ever had in my life, though, so that helped.

    The only tamales I had on my trip were at a little Mexican restaurant in the Denver airport. Nastiest things I have EVER eaten. I felt so sick afterward.

    I have some left over corn husks and corn masa if you want them to make some tasty tamales for yourself.
