I love our Garden!

I am so excited about our vegetable garden this year!  We have one of the largest yards in our neighborhood, with lots of room for gardening.  Our total gardening space is 375 sq ft.  We planted Artichoke; Pinto Beans; Broccoli; Carrots; Cauliflower; Celery; Corn; Cucumber; Garlic; Lettuce; Spinach; Cilantro; Bulb Onions; Green Onions; Peas; Potatoes; Pumpkin; Squash; Swiss Chard; Tomatoes; and Watermelon.  Plus we have a Strawberry patch that comes up annually.  We have been harvesting so much food!  The only things we may not be getting a harvest from is the Artichoke, Cauliflower, Celery, and Watermelon.  But I still have hope for the Cauliflower and Celery.  I have been canning, freezing and making some baby food for Levi.  Here is a picture of some of our beautiful home grown produce.

  1. Impressive! We got a bunch of strawberries, and I seriously need to jam them. Problem is, I don't know how, and I have no equipment, and no means to purchase any. Bummer.

We also got a few tomatoes, not nearly as many as last year. I am most pleased with Bell Peppers. Last year they did not produce at all, and I thought the same would be true this year, but they have come through for me, and I even have a pretty good sized one still waiting to be harvested.

Last year I planted green onions, and I did not harvest them all. This year I just let them go to seed, which I then collected, and plan to sow next spring:-)
