Tandy Family Letter 2014

Our family has two new additions this year. Levi now has two pet rats; a white one named Happy, and a brown one named Star. He loves watching them and playing with them in the evening. Levi is four this year and has amazed us with how quickly he learns. He is a strong reader now and has greatly improved on his writing. He can count to 100 and is doing great with his math.

Matt's work transferred him up to Utah at the end of this year. Thankfully it has  been a mild winter and we haven't had to deal with much snow yet. Because of the move, I had to drop all of my classes during my second to last semester before graduating. But the changed turned out to be better for my degree. The area we are in now has a more focused degree plan and better opportunities for my field of study. Hopefully I will be starting classes again in January.

While the family blog is still up, I have been too busy with school to do much with it. I do still post about holidays and birthdays though, and with some of my new classes focusing on websites I might actually do more with it this next year.

Levi Turns 4

For Levi's 4th birthday we decided to have a construction themed birthday party. He was in love with everything about it. I think he had just as much fun helping me get ready for the party as he did at the actual party. 

I had fun playing with my new Silhouette Cameo making the invitations.

Levi had fun helping me crush the Oreos to make dirt.

He thought the cake was "so cool" with the Oreo dirt, chocolate rocks, and the homemade marshmallow cinder blocks.

The party just wouldn't be complete without some family fun mixed in.

The kids and adults both loved building with the big cardboard boxes. I covered them with contact paper to look like stones.

I think that the biggest hit of the party was the rice tub. Every kid there took a turn playing in the colored rice.

Thank you everyone for coming and celebrating Levi's birthday with us! It wouldn't have been the same without you.

 It is simply amazing how fast children grow up. Levi is almost completely potty trained, a very exciting time for us! Yes he will be turning 4 soon, so it has been a long time coming. I will try to post pictures from the birthday. Until then, here is an adorable picture of him enjoying a valentines day party.

As a side note, I am still in school full time finishing up my first full year. I am currently taking 14 credit hours, and am desperately trying to keep up my 4.0 grade point average. As a result I am incredibly pressed for time, and apologize for not keeping up with the blog very well.
