Christmas preparations

Levi had so much fun helping us decorate for Christmas.  And he didn't break a single ornament!

He is just too cute in this Santa hat.  He found it and wanted us to help him put it on.  It was surprising how long he wanted to keep it on.

This year Levi got to see Santa at our ward Christmas party.  He seemed very interested and wanted to get closer.
But then when he did...

...he wasn't happy.

He did at least have fun sitting with the big kids while watching the live Nativity.

Tandy Family Letter 2011

        Lets hear it for me writing another Tandy family letter this year!  Ok, so I’m only sending it out digitaly instead of mailing hard copies.  And I don’t have copies of our new family photos. But at least I got the letter written, and I did take our family photos.  So if any of you realy want a copy of new photos, just let me know and I will make sure you get one.

        The most exciting thing to happen this year was a recent change with Matt’s job.  He accepted the opportunity to open a new office for Northpoint in Houston TX.  So at the end of October we made the long drive from Utah to Texas.  We love being back in the area where we first fell in love.  As far as Matt’s schooling goes, he has not graduated yet but will be finishing his degree through corespondince.

        Despite Levi not growing much in size, he is growing up fast in other areas.  He took his first hands free steps on Saint Patricks day and has been running ever since.  He has remaned fairly easy going as long as he is not teething.  Yet he can still throw quite the temper tantrom when upset.  It is fun to wach him develop new favorite activities such as coloring and dancing.  We knew that he has always loved to look at clocks, but now we see that it is a bit of an obsession.  He surprised us with learning to say the word clock, and now loves to point them out everywhere we go. 

        I am ever busy with houswork along with a few new hobbies such as couponing and blogging.  It’s hard work, but I normaly save at least 50% every time I shop now with coupons.  And I have been doing good with keeping our family blog updated.  If you would like to give it a visit the web address is mctandy.blogspot.com.

Our new home

I finally have photos of our new home!

I love that we still have a wood burning fireplace in our living room!  

This house just didn't feel like home until after lighting the fire.

This is our upstairs landing.  It is perfect for all of Levi's toys, our games, and books.  I love that aside from the toys it is very evident that we have a toddler.  Everything has to be kept safely out of reach from destructive little hands.

I feel so much more grown up now for some reason having a more formal setting for dinner with our formal Dining room.

And here is our spacious kitchen! 

 Of course just about anything would be spacious compared to our old kitchen.

Over all this is definitively the largest, and nicest place we have ever lived in.  And so far everyone we have met in our neighborhood and our church is very friendly.
